Born in Lisbon in 1983, she graduated in Architecture in 2006 from the Technical University of Lisbon and has a PhD in Computational Technologies connected to Architecture from ISCTE-IUL. With a path that varies between the areas of Architecture, Design, Training and Research, she has been practicing architecture since 2007, individually and in collaboration with architectural offices in Portugal, United Kingdom, Belgium, Australia and the U.S.A. - New York and San Francisco mainly. She is a member of the Board of Architects in Portugal (Ordem dos Arquitetos) and in the UK (Architects Registration Board). These collaborations have helped her to achieve a broad view of building processes and design options, especially for residential and retail spaces. With 8 years of experience in project coordination and 4 years of experience in the remote direction of a team of twenty nine designers around the world, she founded AJA and is the coordinating manager and architect, working with multidisciplinary teams.
